The quality manager position at Panther is a hands-on position. This person must be self-driven to get the job done, but also work well in team environments. The candidate must be willing to work on the plant floor troubleshooting problems, engaging other associates, setting up gaging, launching new programs, etc. The candidate must be able to implement a quality system from the ground up, while handling the day-to-day quality problems. This person must also be a Corporate Quality Manager, as he/she will be responding to issues in Wixom, Michigan and Ningbo, China. This person needs to possess the ability to identify the resources needed to successfully implement a quality system at Panther, create the plan to get registered (including ISO9001, ISO/TS16949), and execute the plan.
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Create and execute Quality Management System implementation plan
Respond to customer Quality concerns
Develop and maintain the Quality Manual
Manage the Quality Department staff
Oversee identified quality certifications and re-certifications
Track and report plant quality metrics
Develop and implement Supplier Quality certification and rating system
Train associates on Quality systems & procedures
Implement and maintain gage inventory and calibration system
Create process quality documentation
FMEAs, Control Plans, Gage instructions, etc.
Program or oversee CMM programming
Generate sort and rework instructions
Calibrate and repair gages
Coordinate PPAP process between Ningbo Plant and customers
Train associates on gauging techniques and quality processes
Design and engineer gaging
Be familiar with metal cutting
Proficient with computer systems
Familiar with ERP systems (Plex is desirable)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
