Responsible for developing proof of concepts to demonstrate IBM WebSphere portal server and IBM WebSphere Web Content Manager Product features and its capabilities to customers; developing, compiling, configuring, testing, deploying, troubleshooting and administering programs developed using: Java, J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, JNDI, JMS), XML, XSLT, XPath, XML Parsers, Web Services, Spring, SOAP, DB2, WebSphere Application Server, and WSDL; determining the architecture for IBM WebSphere Portal hardware, software, supporting tools and databases requirements and specifications to establish an Enterprise WebSphere Portal environment; determining WebSphere Portal security needs and works with admin and infrastructure teams in implementing the WebSphere Portal security, integrating with LDAP, Webseal; end-to-end planning for configuration, administration, support and monitoring of WebSphere Portal environment; assisting customers in setting up processes and frameworks to support WebSphere Portal project needs and document portal best practices and standards; assisting customers with their WebSphere Portal and Web Content manager implementation roadmap; providing solutions to integrate external applications into WebSphere Portal using WebSphere Portal and IBM application integrators, adapters and accelerators; staying up-to-date on WebSphere Portal products features, functionalities, technical advancements, quality standards and industry best practices; and dealing with problems as they arise in effective and efficient manner by coordinating with different teams as needed; and adapting and prioritizing work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Location: Wixom, Michigan and various other undetermined worksites throughout the U.S.
Salary: $104,000 per year
Education: Bachelors-Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or in any related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Training: None
Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Systems Engineer, Senior Application Developer, or in a related occupation.
Experience must include J2EE, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal, XML, Web Services, Spring, and DB2.
Will also accept any equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and/or work experience.
