Responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting all aspects of the software application; analyzing, designing, and developing projects using NI LabVIEW; developing Modular Data Acquisition Systems and Portable Remote Data Acquisition Systems using NI LabVIEW RT; analyzing the current and future needs of the software to properly select the type of architecture and structure best meets the needs of the new application; designing and generating custom reports using NI Report Generation; connecting to local and remote databases using NI Database Connectivity; configuring hardware using NI Measurement & Automation Explorer; performing software testing at a unit and integration level to ensure the software meets its required needs and uses, and resolve any issues; coding clearly and consistently throughout the development process; preparing and maintaining software flowcharts, layouts, and diagrams; analyzing and resolving any functional software bugs; and researching and upgrading software to improve system performance.
Location: Wixom, MI
Salary: $75,000 per year.
Education: Bachelors-Computer Information Systems and Accounting, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Multiple academic programs and/or experience may be combined and evaluated to be the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems and Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Senior Engineer System Engineering Group, Senior Software Engineer, or in a related occupation.
Will also accept four (4) years of work experience in the job offered, as an Senior Engineer System Engineering Group, Senior Software Engineer, or in a related occupation in lieu of the education and experience requirement.
Experience must include use of NI LabVIEW, NI LabVIEW RT, NI Database Connectivity, NI Report Generation, and NI Measurement & Automation Explorer.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
